08 October 2024 Conference to launch Egyptian guidelines and professional ethics for nursing

The Egyptian guidelines and professional ethics for nursing were launched in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, Prof. Hussein Khaled, former Minister of  Higher Education, and Prof. Adel Al-Adawy, former Minister of  Health, Dr. Mohamed Maait, former Minister of Finance and former Chairman of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, Professor Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Accreditation and Supervision, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care, Dr. Nima Abdel, representative of the World Health Organization in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, head of the Nursing Syndicate, with the participation of the scientific committees participating in developing these guidelines.
prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, explained that guidelines are a very vital and important issue; It provides a unified scientific framework for the latest procedures to improve the quality of the health care system and achieve the best results for patients. These guidelines are developed periodically to provide high-quality health services, contribute to rationalizing health spending, enable citizens to obtain the best services, and support decision makers in the country.
(40) guidelines for the nursing sector have been launched, and work is underway to update and prepare other guides during the coming period. Dr. Nima Abdel, representative of the World Health Organization in the Arab Republic of Egypt, praised the role played by the Egyptian Health Council and the great effort made to launch many guidelines in various health fields and the cooperation between the organization and the Council in order to achieve integrated and effective health care to achieve the goal of improving the level of care. Also present were Sir. Magdy Yacoub, the international heart surgeon, and Prof. Hisham Ali Sadiq, Professor of Heart, Biophysics and Molecular Biology. At the University of Arizona in America, via video, in France, Major General Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Medical Services Sector, and Major General Dr. Nabil Fekry, Undersecretary of the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior.

Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing institutional integration and achieving the maximum benefit from the available capabilities in providing health services and developing the vocational training system in Egypt in order to enhance health care and develop vocational training.
