16 November 2025 The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, receives a delegation from the Saudi Specialties Commission

prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, received a delegation from the Saudi Commission for Specialties, represented by: Head of the delegation, Prof. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Hussein, Assistant Secretary-General for Institutional Affairs, Dr. Hamad Al-Turki, Director of the Certificate Equivalency Department.

The delegation discussed ways of cooperation between the two sides and the transfer of the Egyptian experience in continuing professional development and testing the practice of the profession (human medicine / dental surgery / pharmacy / veterinary medicine / nursing), as well as unifying titles and certificates and mutual recognition of approved hours between the two sides, as well as cooperation in scientific programs and the exchange of trainers to maximize the benefit from shared experiences.

The delegation also met with members of the Supreme Scientific Committees of the Egyptian Board of Human Medicine, members of the Supreme Committees of the Egyptian Board of Dentistry, and the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Continuing Professional Development of Human Medicine. The delegation, accompanied by Professor Dr. Mohamed Latif, CEO of the Egyptian Health Council, visited His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and the Minister of Health and Population. His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar praised the interest of the Egyptian and Saudi sides in professional medical education and creating joint training paths.

The Egyptian Health Council reviews its achievements
The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Health Council held an expanded meeting on 28, April, 2026, in honor of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed Kojak, Minister of Finance, and Prof. Hani Otaiba, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England. Also present were Sir. Magdy Yacoub, the international heart surgeon, and Prof. Hisham Ali Sadiq, Professor of Heart, Biophysics and Molecular Biology. At the University of Arizona in America, via video, in France, Major General Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Medical Services Sector, and Major General Dr. Nabil Fekry, Undersecretary of the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior.

Signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Labor and the Egyptian Health Council
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Mr. Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor, and prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing institutional integration and achieving the maximum benefit from the available capabilities in providing health services and developing the vocational training system in Egypt in order to enhance health care and develop vocational training.
