13 November 2023 Meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Pharmacy Practice Examination

On November 13, Professor Mohamed Mostafa Lotyef Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, met with the Supreme Committee for the Qualification Examination to Practice the Pharmacy Profession at the headquarters of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.
To develop a road map for the pharmacy practice exam, the procedures for determining the dates of qualifying exams to practice the profession were discussed in accordance with the law of the Egyptian Health Council, how to set exam questions, and the time specified for taking the exam. The exam contains a specific number of questions, and a number of trial exams are held for training before taking the main exam. .
The committee is composed of:
• Prof. Omaima Naeem Fawzi Abdel Hadi - Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.
• Prof. Abdel Nasser Badawi Ibrahim Sinjab - Member of the General Syndicate of Pharmacists Committee.
• Prof. Ayman Samir Mohamed Yass - Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Cairo Pharmacy.
• Prof. Rehab Othman Ahmed Mohamed - Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University.
• Prof. Dina Muhammad Rafiq Abu Hussein - Professor of Pharmacology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University.
• Prof. Rania Aziz Helmy Ishaq - Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at Ain Shams Pharmacy.
• Prof. Lamia Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Rahman - Professor and Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at Ain Shams Pharmacy.
• Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Mahmoud Mohamed - Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at Cairo Pharmacy.
• Dr. Rana Sayed Fouad Abdel Fattah - clinical pharmacy teacher at Ain Shams Pharmacy.
• Dr. Marwa Ahmed Mufid Allam - Pharmaceutical Chemistry teacher at Cairo Pharmacy.
• Dr. Radwa Maher Abdel Qader Al-Barulsi - clinical pharmacy teacher at Ain Shams Pharmacy.
• M.M./ Hind Kamal Maamoun El-Deeb/ Assistant Lecturer of Clinical Pharmacy at Cairo Pharmacy.

The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Health Council held an expanded meeting on 28, April, 2026, in honor of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed Kojak, Minister of Finance, and Prof. Hani Otaiba, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England. Also present were Sir. Magdy Yacoub, the international heart surgeon, and Prof. Hisham Ali Sadiq, Professor of Heart, Biophysics and Molecular Biology. At the University of Arizona in America, via video, in France, Major General Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Medical Services Sector, and Major General Dr. Nabil Fekry, Undersecretary of the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Mr. Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor, and prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing institutional integration and achieving the maximum benefit from the available capabilities in providing health services and developing the vocational training system in Egypt in order to enhance health care and develop vocational training.
