28 December 2023 Meeting of the Supreme Committee for Guidelines for Diagnostic Radiology Specialization Thursday 12/28/2023

Professor Mohamed Mostafa Lotayef Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, met with the Supreme Committee for Guidelines for the Specialization of Diagnostic Radiology to discuss the work plan and draw a road map for developing guidelines for the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology, and a selection was made. Dr. Tariq Abdel Moneim Al-Desti, Chairman of the Committee.
The committee is composed of:
• Prof. Waheed Hussein Ali Tantawi - Emeritus Professor of Diagnostic Radiology - Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
• Prof. Tarek Abdel Moneim Moein El-Desty Moein - Full Professor, Kidney Disease Center, Mansoura University.
• Prof. Mohamed Ehab Sami Fouad Reda - Full Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University.
• Prof. Mohamed Shaker Ghazi Mohamed - Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
• Prof. Ragab Hani Mohamed Dunkul - Full Professor, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
• Prof. Abeer Maghawry Abdel Hamid Mohamed - Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
• Prof. Maha Hussein Mohamed Hilal - Emeritus Professor of Diagnostic Radiology - National Oncology Institute, Cairo University.

The Egyptian Health Council reviews its achievements
The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Health Council held an expanded meeting on 28, April, 2026, in honor of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed Kojak, Minister of Finance, and Prof. Hani Otaiba, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England. Also present were Sir. Magdy Yacoub, the international heart surgeon, and Prof. Hisham Ali Sadiq, Professor of Heart, Biophysics and Molecular Biology. At the University of Arizona in America, via video, in France, Major General Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Medical Services Sector, and Major General Dr. Nabil Fekry, Undersecretary of the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior.

Signing a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Labor and the Egyptian Health Council
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, Mr. Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor, and prof. Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing institutional integration and achieving the maximum benefit from the available capabilities in providing health services and developing the vocational training system in Egypt in order to enhance health care and develop vocational training.
