09 February 2026 The Medical Syndicate inaugurates the "SCOPE" Center for Continuing Medical Education after its official accreditation by the Health Council

In a strategic step to enhance the efficiency of the health system and develop the skills of doctors, the General Syndicate of Egyptian Physicians announced the opening of the Continuing Medical Education Center (SCOPE) in its new and advanced headquarters, after obtaining official accreditation from the Egyptian Health Council.

The center includes 6 advanced training halls equipped with the latest technological and technical means for theoretical and practical training, in addition to a large lecture hall dedicated to medical seminars and conferences, which allows for the accommodation of large numbers of trainees and enhances interactive learning opportunities.

Within the framework of a comprehensive scientific vision, the Syndicate announced the formation of an expanded advisory board for the center that includes a group of professors and representatives from various medical specialties, and this committee is responsible for developing the annual training plan and ensuring the quality of the scientific content provided, in line with the latest scientific developments.

The Syndicate confirmed that the accreditation of the center by the Egyptian Health Council grants the certificates issued by it official and professional strength, and contributes to supporting the professional career of doctors and renewing licenses to practice the profession, and the center aims to be the first beacon for the Egyptian doctor seeking excellence and raising the level of health care.

The Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Health Council held an expanded meeting on 28, April, 2026, in honor of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Prof. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Ahmed Kojak, Minister of Finance, and Prof. Hani Otaiba, President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England. Also present were Sir. Magdy Yacoub, the international heart surgeon, and Prof. Hisham Ali Sadiq, Professor of Heart, Biophysics and Molecular Biology. At the University of Arizona in America, via video, in France, Major General Saeed Al-Najjar, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Medical Services Sector, and Major General Dr. Nabil Fekry, Undersecretary of the Medical Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior.

Mohamed Lotayef, The Executive president of the Egyptian Health Council, witnessed the signing of a tripartite cooperation protocol aimed at enhancing institutional integration and achieving the maximum benefit from the available capabilities in providing health services and developing the vocational training system in Egypt in order to enhance health care and develop vocational training.
